Week 6: Who's Pulling a Boner this Season?

Badcock here to remind you that the NFL season is underway. Sometimes this place gets a little blogged down in solving big problems, like racism. That's all well and good, but football is what makes me happy. Except the way my favorite team is playing this season. My Boner awards for the NFC:

Biggest Disappointment The Washington Redskins were my preseason Superbowl pick. I'll stand by that but I'm going to try to tell Vinnie the Blade that I was just kidding when I made that bet with him. The Redskins have looked terrible in all phases. The O-line is especially crappy. What a bunch of boners!

Stay the Course Every pundit has his tongue up Chicago's ass. Yes, they are undefeated. Yes, they will likely be the NFC #1 seed. However, the Bears have defeated teams with a combined 17-27 record. They beat Seattle which didn't have the 2005 League MVP. This is a team that will lose in the playoffs. Keep an eye on Rex "Chinadoll" Grossman. He is due for a major injury.

Worst Defense The SF 49ers have allowed an eye-popping 194 points in 6 games (44 more than Detroit, the next closest). That puts them on pace to allow 517 points, nearly 100 points more than last year's "effort." Way to show pride, fellas.

Worst Offense Tampa Bay has no spleen. With 62 points in 5 games, they are on pace to put up 198 ponts, 40 less than last year's "effort" by the Saints. Way to coach it up, Chucky.

Worst Division As predicted, the woeful NFC North is the worst division in the conference. Even with Chicago's 5-0 record, the Norse have a combined 10-11 record and an 8-10 record vs. the rest of the conference. That is the worst. They ought to be ashamed, and their fans should be given free radical colostomies.

gotta give the AFC East some credit for worst division too. Aside from NE, Miami, NYJ and Buffalo are fucking pitiful. the pats win that division (or could) with 8 wins.
