You May or May Not Have Brian Ching to Kick Around Anymore

I accidentally turned to the Real Salt Lake vs. Houston MLS Thursday Night Match on ESPN this evening, and got there just in time to discover two things:

1.  ESPN is making Adrian Healey do MLS games.  That's cruel.

2.  Brian Ching either strained or tore his hamstring.  John Harkes, who is kind of a dummy, called it a tear in borderline real time.  USA Today is a bit circumspect, calling it a strain.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure Ching fans and non-fans alike had him penciled in as the first striker of the bench for the US National Team come June.  If it is a hamstring tear, I'd say there's no chance he'll be back in June.  If it is a strain, he's missing some training, and I'm afraid we are going to hear things like "Kenny Cooper" in the near future.

Buck up, US fans?
